If it is medically necessary, a doctor will visit you at home. However, in most cases, medical problems are best dealt with at the surgery where we have the necessary equipment and facilities.
If you do request a home visit, one of the doctors may ring you back to discuss the problem with you. Home visits are done between our morning and afternoon clinics and we kindly request that you call as soon as possible if you feel you need one.
Please note, home visits should only be requested for medical reasons and not because of difficulties with issues such as transport or child care.
We are grateful to a number of volunteers who are sometimes available to bring patients to the surgery in their own cars provided you cover the fuel costs. They may also take you to hospital appointments to relieve the burden on ambulance services. Please ask reception staff about the availability of these services.
