Enhanced Data Sharing is different from the Care Data Sharing on which you will all have received a leaflet of explanation from the Government.
Enhanced Data Sharing is the sharing of Data between different Health organisations and Public health organisations such as Community Nurses or Podiatry
As a Patient you have two options with regards to allowing the sharing of Data held at your GP surgery.
You can allow the Practice to share out your Data to allow other services to see your record or you can refuse this to happen. This is called Sharing OUT
Also you can allow the GP practice to see other data from other services you have used such as the Community Nursing Service; The Out of Hours service or the Walk in Centre or again you can refuse this to happen. This is called Sharing iN.
Please see below the links for the Information Leaflet on this subject produced by Clinical System suppliers and the Approval/Refusal form for you to complete and to send to the Practice Manager.
If you wish further information please contact the Practice and ask to speak to the Practice Manager.
